I had a first mtg. today w/ a good prospect. This was the first one where I was able to put the full Our Sales Coach Sales in motion. End result was phenomenal, but the whole process was what made the end result possible. Much smoother, more organized, more professional, and most importantly I let the client do a lot of the talking. Our role play over the past 2 weeks has really helped. I kept hearing your voice, “let the client talk, ask the questions & let them tell you, don’t tell them.” Long story short, he came into the meeting saying he was interviewing 3 advisors, & by the end of the meeting he said his interests/goals/personal preference & my style were so closely aligned that he had already decided I was his guy-direct quote, “I really just feel that I can trust you and that you’re going to do right by me, so I am choosing you.” I could see him almost closing himself as the meeting progressed, so I just let it happen. I almost consciously tried not to close him & I’m pretty sure that had a lot to do with the end result. Great way to start the weekend.
